Aftercare instrustions

  • Wash your hands well with antibacterial soap before and after touching your tattoo. Remove your bandage no longer than 6 hours after being applied. Gently wash your tattoo with non scented, fragrance free, anti bacterial soap and clean room temperature water. Do not scrub your tattoo with a loofa, wash cloth, towel, ect. Simply use your clean hands to carefully wash your tattoo. Pat dry with a paper towel or let it air dry.

  • After washing your tattoo, lightly apply Aquaphor to your tattoo from drying out.

  • On the 4th day of your tattoo healing, switch from Aquaphor to a fragrance free non scented lotion.

  • Never over moisturize with Aquaphor or lotion at any point during the healing process. only apply a thin layer.

  • Make sure you wash and moisturize your tattoo 2-3 times a day for about 3 weeks.

  • Do not re-apply a bandage. While its fresh- keep it covered with clean loose clothing

  • Do not go in any pools, hot tubs, baths or type of dirty water until the tattoo is healed for at least a month.

  • Keep tattoo out of direct sunlight for a month.

  • Stay away from public gyms for about 5 days. the gym is a very bacteria filled place and is an easy way to get an infection.

  • Do not put anything other than fragrance free non scented soap, Aquaphor, and fragrance free non scented lotion on the tattoo for at least a month. no sunscreen, perfume, chemicals, ect. on the new tattoo.

  • Your tattoo should never scab.

  • Its common for peeling and itching to occur. never scratch the tattoo. let it do its thing.

  • Getting tattooed is a process that your body is not familiar to, so it will react in ways similar to a cut or scrape. Tattoos will commonly have a bit of redness and mild swelling after application. The tattoo will be a bit sensitive for a few days so do not be alarmed. If excessive redness, swelling, or tenderness occurs, please contact me.
